Help Advance Clean Energy in La Plata County

Posted in

Help our community move toward a smarter and cleaner energy future!

The Sustainability Alliance's Smart Energy Committee
Meets Every FIRST THURSDAY of the Month

We often meet at the Durango Coffee Company; however, if we receive a lot of interest in attending, we need to reserve a bigger room. If you are interested in attending the next meeting, please contact Lissa Ray.

Our primary focus for 2011–12 is the CLEAN campaign (Clean Local Energy Accessible Now)

CLEAN advocates for distributed, renewable electrical generation to:

  • Build our local economy
  • Protect the energy security of our community
  • Conserve our environment

As members of our electrical co-op, we urge LPEA to invest in our local economy by empowering citizens to produce electricity and sell it at a reasonable rate, benefiting both the investor and the community economically and making use of our abundant renewable resources.

View the CLEAN PowerPoint to learn more about what we envsion locally.

If you are interested in taking part in the CLEAN campaign of La Plata County and the greater surrounding area, please contact us.
